Why NCSHS?

Our vision: Nothing less than recognizing the full potential of girls and coding.

Why Start a Local Chapter?
The NCSHS offers your school the opportunity to recognize your students who excel academically in computer science courses; and/or demonstrate proficiency in the use of coding and programming to support their learning.

But We Already Have a Coding Club!
That's ok!  NCSHS chapters can be part of your existing coding club.  We leave the decision as to how best host a local club up to the local chapter advisor.

What About NCSHS Chapter Activities?
Your local chapter can decide which activities you'd like to pursue; these activities can be held in conjunction with your local coding club.  Perhaps you'd like to run an Hour of Code event; tutor local students; or run a hack-a-thon.  We just ask that you share your activities with everyone!
