Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year!
"In 2011, women received only 18.2% of bachelor's degrees in computer science according to the National Girls' Collaborative Project. This number has been slowly increasing over the past decade."

The National Computer Science Honor Society recognizes young women who have demonstrated interest, passion, and academic excellence in the subjects of computer science, programming, and other computer science disciplines.

Celebrate the success of your students by starting a chapter in your school or institution.

Chapter applications are available now.

The NCSHS is a student-organized and student-run organization.

Announcing the new Global Chapter!

One of the challenges of our new model of education, be it hybrid or remote, is the ability to gather in groups as well as the ability of schools to start new extracurricular activities. But that doesn't mean we can't find innovative ways to promote computer science for girls.

NCSHS is pleased to announce that we are creating a Global Chapter. Schools will still be able to (and are encouraged) to form their own local chapters, but for students in schools where this is not possible, you may apply to become an NCSHS member or your teacher/administrators may nominate you. This opportunity is open to girls and those identifying as girls in public, private, religious and charter schools worldwide.
